He played as a quarterback at Lake Forest College (Ill.) from 2017-19, and served as a student assistant coach during his undergraduate career, assisting the Foresters' staff with recruiting, on-field coaching and football operations. Role has worked in the athletic department as a graphic designer since stepping onto campus in August 2020, assisting with content in numerous sports.
